How She Social came to be…
Back when FarmTown was the go-to game on Facebook, Vanessa downloaded the app and never really left. Watching how people connected, shared ideas and built communities online sparked a fascination with social media that’s never gone away.
During school, Vanessa got her first real taste of entrepreneurship after winning a pitching competition in front of Steve Baxter. That moment sparked a love for marketing, branding and bringing ideas to life.
During COVID, Vanessa experimented with launching a few different business ideas. One of them was called Mentur Marketing — the very early seed of what would eventually become She Social. It didn’t last long (turns out building a business in two days isn’t quite how it works), but it was the start of the journey.
Vanessa went on to complete a degree in Marketing and Finance, diving deeper into the strategy, psychology and creativity behind great marketing — and loving every minute of it.
After university, Vanessa worked across several marketing roles with some incredible brands, managing social media and helping grow engaged communities with impressive results.
Along the way, Vanessa launched one of South Australia’s largest all-women student communities, where she discovered a deep passion for helping others grow, connect and support one another.
While working full-time, Vanessa began helping a few brands with their social media on the side. What started as small projects quickly grew as more businesses wanted help building their presence online.
She Social was born.
In 2025, She Social officially became a full-time venture. The team began to grow, more brands joined the journey, and what started as a side project turned into a creative studio dedicated to helping brands feel more human online.
And we’re only just getting started.

From me, to you.
She Social is deeply personal to me.
Growing up as a carer for my disabled family members taught me empathy and the importance of truly understanding people. Long before I worked in marketing, I was learning how powerful genuine connection can be.
Later in life, I pitched in front of Steve Baxter, built South Australia’s largest all-women student community, and led social media and brand campaigns bigger than I ever imagined.
Along the way, we’ve been flooded with loud, in-your-face marketing. And now with AI everywhere, it’s easier than ever to produce content… but somewhere in the noise, we’ve forgotten the most important thing: great brands are built on real connection.
That’s why I built She Social…to help brands show up online in a way that feels confident, human, and true to who they are.
I grew up on the internet. I understand how social media works, but more importantly, I understand people.
And that’s what great marketing really comes down to.
Understanding your audience. Connecting with them. And showing up in a way that feels real.
